Intuitive Self-Care with Tarot: The Lovers
“It really boils down to this: that all life is interrelated. We are all caught in an inescapable network of mutuality, tired into a single garment of destiny. Whatever affects one destiny, affects all indirectly.”
― Martin Luther King Jr.
This month is miserable for some, beautiful for others and laden with expectations for most. In the States there is this holiday we all know is manufactured called Valentine's Day. The pressure to be in relationship with someone in this very specific way and to produce certain proof of how you care for that other person can put a lot of pressure on already pressured relationships. And then what if you are "alone on Valentine's Day!?" GASP! We all know it's silly but we cannot help but be reminded of our enoughness around this holiday. And it's a shame really...love is a beautiful damn thing, but oh it's not so simple as these expectations. It's more beautifully layered than all of this and we know it. This year can we celebrate connection? Can we celebrate love in its fullness, in its horribleness, and in it's beauty?
Love is loving yourself. Love is loving someone else. Love is loving friends. Love is loving your community. Love is loving the earth. Love is loving every creature.
Love is ugly.
Love is beautiful.
Love...all love...should be a home for our deepest shadows, our deepest desires, a safespace.
Love is the nest that holds us all together.
Love is connection of all the hideous and the beautiful and saying YOU ARE SAFE.
Can we be safe spaces for each other in 2018?
Can we be safe spaces for ourselves in 2018?
